Route 66 Golf Tour in a convertible Mustang
DRIVE! your way across the USA
Golfing Route 66 will take you, the passionate golfer, on a road trip down memory lane, which harkens back to the classic road trip vacation where the journey was far more important than the destination.
Referred to as “The Mother Road” by John Steinbeck in his Pulitzer Prize winning novel “The Grapes of Wrath” and famous for many things including the Bobby Darren song “Get Your Kicks on Route 66” - Route 66 began as Buffalo Traces or Animal Paths that the Indians followed. It then became the route for the expansion of the nation that was to become the USA.
The Military and the Mountain Men followed the route, then the covered wagons pushed civilisation westward. The steel horse then followed as they laid down the railway tracks and finally came the motor vehicle.
It is commonly called the “Main Street of America” due to the fact that it was literally the main street for the many hundreds of towns it passed through, traversing diverse countryside from the plains & fields in Illinois, through the rolling hills of Missouri, High Plains of Oklahoma and Texas, then down into the desert areas of New Mexico and Arizona and finally to the low hot desert of the Mojave.
From sea level to heights greater than our Mount Kosciusko the driver can experience a dry desert and a Ponderosa Forest in an Alpine setting - all within 5 minutes.
With six days of relaxing Golf at some of America’s most beautiful courses, plus six days of open top driving on this famous highway, you will be escorted and guided on an amazing adventure unlike any other you’ve experienced before and certainly not commonly available on the market today.
This truly is one of the most unique and once in a lifetime golfing holidays you will ever have the chance to enjoy, and we look forward to ‘DRIVING’ (excuse the pun) with you on Route 66.

Welcome to the house that fame built. Hip, modern, decidedly dramatic, and the centerpiece of the Las Vegas Strip, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino is more than the newest hotel in town. It's the shopping, dining and gambling destination of choice for the city that celebrates celebrity.
Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino has all the action you can handle with three acres of gaming, a variety of tables and slots, a huge poker room, The Playing Field race and sports book, and the scintillating Pleasure Pit, with beautiful women dealing blackjack, clad in sensual lingerie, while go-go dancers cavort overhead.
You can dine at one of eight extraordinary and already famous restaurants, including Koi from Los Angeles and Strip House from New York. Catch "Peepshow" in our 1,500-seat Showroom. Splurge at Miracle Mile Shops with 170 stores and boutiques. Rejuvenate at the Planet Hollywood Spa by Mandara. There has been a course here since the 1920's but it was not until 1990, when the course was reconfigured by Gary Panks, that its reputation grew. Discover Arizona’s Grandest Estate ~ A National Historic Landmark, the La Posada Hotel, the “last great railroad hotel,” offers a unique cultural experience for Southwest travellers. Built in 1929 for the Santa Fe Railway, La Posada is truly one of America’s treasures. La Posada’s story weaves together two extraordinary visions. It begins with Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter and Fred Harvey, who hired Colter to design the hotel. It embodied her vision, from its architecture down to its finely crafted details. But La Posada closed in 1957; for the next 40 years, its future remained tenuous. Enter Allan Affeldt and his wife Tina Mion. Affeldt heard about the hotel and purchased it in 1997 after much negotiation, bringing with him a strong vision and commitment for returning La Posada to Colter’s original concept. Restoration started immediately and continues today, thanks to Affeldt’s efforts and the support of local preservationists, hotel guests, and a talented team of artisans and craftsmen.
Considered by many to be the finest restaurant in the Four Corners region, the Turquoise Room opened in 2000 under the direction of renowned Chef John Sharpe, who oversees every detail of the preparation and service.
Winslow - A small Route 66 town made famous by the Beach Boys song Take It Easy. Yes you will get the chance to do just as the song says. “Sandin on the Corner of Winslow Arizona” is a must and the shops that surround will help you spend some money on souvenirs. It is a wonderful little railway town and with an average of 90 trains passing per day, so it is a good thing we are staying in a purpose built railway hotel.
