Two Day Greek Strikes Loom

Greek trade unions have called a two-day general strike for next week - a move which is expected to cause major disruption to island ferry and air services, and the tourism industry generally.
The strike will coincide with debate in parliament on new austerity measures being forced on the government by conditions attached to a massive financial bailout by the European Union and International Monetary Fund.
The strike is scheduled to take place on 28 and 29 June 2011.
