Posted by: Alan
It seems that Paris is the most expensive city in the world to order a sandwich, according to research findings.
An online booking website has used the classic chicken, bacon, egg, lettuce and mayo sandwich, commonly available in hotels, as a measure of affordability in 30 cities worldwide.
Its Club Sandwich Index (CSI) calculations covered a total 750 three, four and five-star hotels.
In the French capital, the CSI showed prices for a 'Club' ranged from a jaw-dropping $53 in a five-star hotel to $22 in a two-star one. with the average cost of a ‘Club’ in Paris coming in at $32.
The second priciest city was found to be Geneva, where the sandwich costs an average $32, followed closely by $30 for a ‘Club’ in Oslo, Norway.
Sydney took eighth position with an average ‘Club’ coming in at over $19.
